Witam ;)
Poniżej umieszczam essej na j.angielski.. Ale zapewne znajdą się w nim jakieś błędy gramatyczne - napiszcie swoje uwagi.

The Internet is a better invention than books.

Although I spend a great deal of time on the Internet, I can assure you there is no substitute for books. Take any subject you care to name, if you have a book on that subject you will find that it goes into far greater detail than "Googling" that subject. There cannot be an index on the Internet, as you would find in a book so you cannot immediately refer to it.

The internet might be faster to get an answer, sometimes it's hard to tell where fact ends and opinion starts. In a book, all the sources are easily checked, and often times there's a works cited, which makes it even easier. Plus, unless you have an internet connection 24/7 and a laptop, the Internet can't go everywhere will you like a book can.
I will concede that to have the number of books on every subject would require a massive library whereas a simple entry via the keyboard will bring up perhaps millions of pages but many of those are duplicates and others simply aren't relevant.
The other disadvantage of a PC or even a laptop is that they cannot be easily read in bed - e. g. in the bathroom.

Albo daj przecinek zamiast e.g., albo napisz; they can't be read easily; for example bed or bathroom.

subject trochę sie powtarza. ja napisałbym tak:

For instance, a book on any subject goes into far greater detail than simply "googling" it.

Also, there isn't an index on the internet, unlike in the books. This makes it easier for the reader to quickly refer to a searched term.
